Visiting Hoyland
Parents are always welcome to visit our school. Visits to individual classrooms during instructional time shall be limited to 20 minutes and permitted only with a principal's or assistant principal’s approval. Visits shall not be permitted if their duration or frequency interferes with the delivery of instruction or disrupts the normal school environment.
Those visits can be more beneficial for everyone if the following guidelines are observed:
· Please call in advance to schedule a visit to ensure that the visit does not conflict with testing, supervision responsibilities or some other scheduled activity.
· Please sign in at the school office and obtain a visitor's badge.
· A Photo ID must be shown anytime a visitor enters the building.
· Please make other arrangements for pre-school children rather than bringing them for the visit. The school does not have child care facilities and the activities of pre-schoolers distract students, teachers and parents.
· There are no provisions for school-age friends or relatives of district students to visit Spring ISD schools.
Guidelines for Cafeteria Visitors
We are pleased to have you visit our school and enjoy lunch with your child, Monday through Friday. You can assist in keeping an orderly facility by adhering to the following guidelines.
Check in and out at the front office.
Please sit at the assigned parent table.
You may eat with your child only. You may not invite friends to join you.
Follow all established cafeteria rules.
When the quiet sign is given all children need to be quiet.
Be ready to dismiss when other students are dismissed.
Clean table before leaving the area.
Do not follow your child to class or to the playground.
Because of state funding, no one may eat from the student’s tray nor can food be taken from the cafeteria.
Younger siblings must stay seated at the table with you. Do not allow them to run around.
Teachers in the cafeteria are on duty. It is not time for a parent conference. Please call or write a note to conference with your child’s teacher.
Thank you for following these guidelines and have a nice lunch!
